The Valley with being home to Festivals and now Parades that have cultural ties to almost everyone. Now a crowd favorite Borderfest has a new home at it’s McAllen! After 39 years Borderfest will move from Hidalgo to McAllen, this announcement comes with from BBVA Compass Director Glen Roney with former Hidalgo Mayor John David Franz this morning. The 40 year Anniversary for Borderfest will take place March 3-6 at the McAllen Convention Center. The New Festival will celebrate Texas as a whole, exhibits from all over the state will be featured at Borderfest. A slight raise will in costs per table comes with this as well, Roney claims this raise is set to offset costs. .This year’s Borderfest follows a performance from Grammy-winning Artist Ludacris and a performance from Selena Gomez, with a Texas theme this there is possible speculation to big a country star to Borderfest.
